What is The Brook?
We are a young professional disciple-making movement that uses the means of digital outreach and in-person events to reach young professionals investigating faith in nontraditional ways, to raise up faith leaders to have an impact and Denver and around the world.
Do you just do events?
We do love putting on a fun connection event like a happy hour, community night, or sporting event. These are great ways to make some initial connections and build friendships. To get the most out of The Brook though, we encourage participants to join a simple church. This is a great way to get more connected. We also are passionate about training and investing in our volunteers and leaders and do a lot of coaching and discipleship.
What is a Simple Church?
A simple church is a small group of people (typically around 6-12 people) that meet together on a weekly basis to connect with one another, connect with God, and apply the things they are learning together to their life that week. We call these groups spiritual families as they don't have an end date, they become a community that stays connected as life evolves over time.
How is The Brook connected to the local Church?
You do not have to be a part of a church community or have any background in a church to be involved in The Brook! Those investigating faith or coming back to faith are welcomed, in fact, that is why The Brook exists! The Brook serves the city as a whole and encourages and welcomes the participation of anyone from any church background or connection throughout the city!
What is the age range at the Brook?
We like to call ourselves “Young Professionals” and welcome anyone between the ages of 21-40 years old! We often hear people say, “I didn’t think there was a place for me” because not as many organizations connect this demographic and reach out to them. There is absolutely a place for you!!
Is The Brook a nonprofit?
Yes! We are an official, registered 501(c)3 nonprofit organization. That means when you give to The Brook, it is a tax write-off for you!!
How is the Brook funded?
The Brook is funded by the everyday people who have been impacted by it!!! We highly encourage paying it forward and giving back to the organization that has invested in you. We make Online giving easy to set up a one-time or recurring donation. We are also always looking to partner with local businesses for sponsorships.
How Do I get connected to the Brook or take my next steps?
We cannot wait to get you connected, that is why we have set up an “I’m New” team that would love to reach out to you. Simply fill out the form below to be connected to a volunteer in The Brook who will get to know you, and share with you their experience as well as the next steps you can take.
