our values
-
Prayer is our first response, not our last resort. We pray about everything–and will drop anything to pray. Every disciple-making movement in history started with extraordinary prayer.
Philippians 4:6-7 - ”Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.“
-
Through teams, individuals, and strategic connection activities, we’ve made it nearly impossible to not be connected at The Brook. Our goal is that every person will leave an event with a handful of new connections and friends to take their next step.
John 13:34-35 NIV - “A new command I give you: Love one another. As I have loved you, so you must love one another. By this everyone will know that you are my disciples if you love one another.”
-
We exist to multiply disciples who will multiply disciples for generations to come. Raising up ordinary leaders to reach the world is our goal. Our motto is “You can do it, we can help”
Matthew 28:18-20 - “Then Jesus came to them and said, “All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age.”
-
It's about giving abundantly, recklessly, and joyfully of our time, talents, and resources to see the kingdom advance.
Acts 20:35 “It’s more blessed to give than to receive”
-
We exist to showcase everyday people investigating what it looks like to live a great life, have great relationships and know God. Our platform is for people, not for our own praise.
Galatians 1:10 “Am I now trying to win the approval of human beings, or of God? Or am I trying to please people? If I were still trying to please people, I would not be a servant of Christ.”
-
We want to always be creating and adopting new ways to connect and engage on and offline. To reach people no one is reaching, we are willing to do things no one is doing.
1 Corinthians 9:22-23 “To the weak I became weak, to win the weak. I have become all things to all people so that by all possible means I might save some. I do all this for the sake of the gospel, that I may share in its blessings.”
